Junior league of high point's
little black dress initiative 2019

Beginning March 8th, our members will wear one dress each day for one week. This awareness campaign seeks to increase knowledge around the limits poverty can place on choices of expression and opportunities for employment. Through this awareness campaign our goals are to:

  • Highlight the story of those in need who have few resources such as interview and work clothes, to enter the employment process and to remain at work.
  • Understand how limited resources can affect daily life, and
  • To fundraise, supporting the Junior League of High Point and its mission to promote volunteerism, develop the potential of women, and improve the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Common Threads: A Little Black Dress Initiative

Our week-long awareness campaign will end on March 14th with an exciting event!
